B2K: Flight Plan and Performance Forecast


We plan to observe two regions: a large one to get sensitivity to lower multipoles and <TE>, and a small one to get sensitivity to <EE> and higher multipoles. In fig. you can see a sample of the sky coverage we can obtain in 12 days of flight. Additional observations of lower galactic latitudes
are planned to test the effect of dust on these measurements.

Based on the measured performance of the instrument, here is our forecast for the <TT>, <TE> and <EE> measurements from this flight of B2K (assuming 12 days of flight).

sky coverage

Planned sky coverage, obtained scanning the sky at 0.5 degrees per second in the deep region and at 1.0 degrees per second in the shallow region. The three circles indicate the location of bright AGNs detected in B98.
